Service Description

Awaken and align your body, mind and spirit with one of these rejuvenating yoga sessions. All classes begin with a meditative breath work practice and body awareness scans. Masks are required for in-person classes. Yoga mats are required for your safety and support. Yinyasa - We'll focus on strength and flexibility, and you'll leave feeling relaxed and balanced. Yin Yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. A Yin yoga class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer. Trauma Sensitive Yoga - Traumatic events involve shock, threats to physical survival and/or psycho-emotional integrity experienced in circumstances that prevent a sense of safety. Traumatic events may be one-time occurrences, such as a car crash, or part of an ongoing pattern, such as chronic domestic violence. Trauma-informed yoga is based on an understanding of trauma, and how it impacts the entire mind-body system. viewed in isolation from the physical body. Trauma, is an imprint left by that experience on mind, brain, and body.”
